Markaestro uploads videos to YouTube channels, Brand Account channels included, through the official YouTube Data API. Write the caption once in the shared calendar: its first line becomes the title unless you set one, the whole caption becomes the description, and the video publishes at the time you picked. A vertical or square video of 3 minutes or less becomes a Short.

How Publishing Works
- Connect each YouTube channel with Google sign-in. Google lists your own channel and any Brand Account channels you manage.
- Videos upload at the scheduled time through the official YouTube Data API.
- A published video can be deleted from YouTube on the post's On Platform tab in Markaestro.

The composer checks every YouTube post against these limits while you write, so a post is never queued only to fail at publish time.

Metrics You Get Back

Can Markaestro schedule YouTube Shorts?
Yes. YouTube has no separate Shorts upload: it classifies a vertical or square video of up to 3 minutes as a Short. Add that video to a YouTube post in Markaestro and it publishes as a Short.
Where does the YouTube title come from?
From the title field in the YouTube options or, when that is empty, the first line of the caption. YouTube caps titles at 100 characters, and the full caption becomes the description, up to 5,000 bytes.
Can I post to a Brand Account channel?
Yes. When you connect, Google shows every channel your account manages, Brand Accounts included. A brand can link more than one channel and pick one per post.
How long can a YouTube video be?
YouTube accepts up to 15 minutes by default and up to 12 hours once the Google account is verified. Markaestro uploads video files up to 250 MB.
