How Publishing Works
- Connect with Instagram Login. Instagram Business and Creator (professional) accounts are supported; personal accounts cannot publish through the API.
- At the scheduled time Markaestro uploads the media to Instagram, waits for it to finish processing, then publishes. A failed upload is reported on the post instead of disappearing.
- Prefer to post by hand? Mark Instagram as a manual channel and scheduled posts land in your To Post queue with the caption and media ready to copy.

Yes. A post with a single video publishes as a Reel through the official API. Reels can run from 3 seconds to 15 minutes and up to 300 MB, per Instagram's publishing limits.
How many photos can an Instagram carousel have?
Instagram's publishing API accepts up to 10 items per carousel, in any mix of images and videos. Markaestro blocks an 11th item in the composer instead of silently dropping it.
Does it work with personal Instagram accounts?
No. Instagram only allows publishing through its API to professional accounts (Business or Creator). Switching a personal account to a professional one is free in the Instagram app.
Can I schedule Instagram Stories?
Yes. A Story takes one image or one video. Story videos can be 3 to 60 seconds long and up to 100 MB.
