What Is Engagement Rate?
Engagement rate measures how much people interact with a post relative to how many could have. It is usually engagements (likes, comments, shares, saves, and sometimes clicks) divided by either reach, impressions, or followers, times 100. Which denominator you use changes the number, so compare rates only when they are calculated the same way.

Analytics keeps each metric exactly as the platform reported it and never sums views and impressions together, so rates stay comparable. See analytics.
